Schemer Terms and Conditions
(this “Agreement”) is entered into when you use any of our services by and between Schemer, (the “Lessor”) and the customer (“Lessee”). The Lessor and Lessee may each be individually referred to herein as a “Party” and collectively as the “Parties.”
WHEREAS, Schemer is the owner of certain Décor and Catering equipment described in Section 1 of this Agreement; and
WHEREAS, Lessee desires to lease the Décor and Catering Equipment from the Lessor and the Lessor agrees to lease the Equipment to Lessee under the terms and conditions set forth in this Agreement.
NOW THEREFORE, in consideration of the foregoing and the mutual covenants contained in this Agreement, the receipt and sufficiency of which is hereby acknowledged, the Parties agree as follows:
- Equipment. Schemer hereby leases to Lessee and Lessee hereby leases from the Lessor certain Décor and Catering Equipment (the “Equipment”), as fully described in formal quotation and/or invoice received by the Lessee.
- Term. This Agreement shall be for a term specified and agreed upon by both Parties, which shall commence on the Effective Date and shall be terminated as specified and agreed upon by both Parties.
- Rental Payment. As rent for the Equipment, Lessee shall pay the Lessor, the full rental payments set forth per the payment for each piece of equipment as indicated in the formal Invoice before the equipment is collected.
Lessee will pay the Lessor a breakage fee (the “Breakage Fee”) specified by the Lessor and communicated as per Invoice received by the Lessee. The rental payment shall be due and payable before the equipment is collected at the location specified by the Lessor.
Delivery can be arranged if, and only if the Lessor agrees and they will also specify the location of delivery. In this case, a delivery fee of R4.00 per kilometer will be charged, to and from the location specified and agreed upon by both parties.
- Security Deposit. To secure performance of Lessee’s obligations under this Agreement, Lessee shall pay to the Lessor 50% of the Invoice total as specified, in writing and as seen on the formal quotation/invoice as a security deposit (the “Security Deposit”).
Upon the return of the Equipment to Schemer in good working order, without damage, the Lessor shall refund the Breakage Fee to the Lessee.
Privacy Policy

At Schemer we are committed to protecting your privacy and to ensure that your personal information is collected and used properly, lawfully and transparently.
We collect and process your personal information such as contact details including your name, surname, contact number, address, mainly to contact you for the purpose of understanding your requirements, and delivering services accordingly.
We collect information directly from you where you provide us with your personal details. Where possible, we will inform you what information you are required to provide to us and what information is optional.
Website usage information may be collected using “cookies” which allows us to collect standard internet visitor usage information.
We will use your personal information only for the purposes for which it was collected and agreed with you. In addition, where necessary your information may be retained for legal or research purposes.

- Where we have a duty or a right to disclose in terms of law or industry codes;
- Where we believe it is necessary to protect our rights.
- We are legally obliged to provide adequate protection for the personal information we hold and to stop unauthorized access and use of personal information.
